lyrical genius.

ive been listening to a lot of songs lately
that speak my heart more clearly
than i could articulate right now.

enjoy.
and maybe check a few of them out. :)

what a beautiful piece of heartache
this has all turned out to be
Lord knows we've learned the hard way
all about healthy apathy...
"Latter Days" by Over the Rhine

and everything i once held dear
i count it all as loss
lead me to the cross
"Lead Me to the Cross" by Hillsong

there's a lot of pain in reaching out and trying
it's a vulnerable place to be
love and pride can't occupy the same spaces baby
and only one makes you free
"Loving a Person" by Sarah Groves

the trick of love is to never let it find you
its easy to get over missing out.
"Indiana" by Jon McLaughlin

someone tell me i'll move on from this,
and I'll move on.
and every bit of you that's still in me
will all be gone.
but this is the hardest thing ive ever done
somehow saving you by moving on.
"Somehow Saving You" by Dave Barnes

be Thou my vision, O Lord of my heart;
naught be all else to me, save that Thou art.
Thou my best thought, by day or by night,
waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.

riches I heed not, nor man's empty praise,
Thou mine inheritance, now and always:
Thou and Thou only, first in my heart,
High King of heaven, my Treasure Thou art.
"Be Thou my Vision" by Ginny Owens

heal my heart and make it clean
open up my eyes to the things unseen
show me how to love like you have loved me
break my heart for what is yours
everything I am for your kingdom's cause
as I walk from earth into eternity.
"hosanna" by hillsong
